Civil Engineering

          Civil Engineering has a special status in Engineering Education. Civil Engineering plays a key role in the development of other fields of engineering. The department promotes curriculum development activity by updating existing courses, developing new course and preparing resource material for teaching. The department has a number of ongoing research projects and sponsored research schemes for public and private sector organizations. It undertakes industrial consultancy works as a part of its interaction with industries and also organize seminars/symposia for professional interaction. The department contributes to the disciplinary academic and research activity of the institute.

Opportunities for civil engineers exist in the public as well as private sectors in large numbers in all branches of design, construction, and maintenance and infrastructure development in both India and Abroad.

Civil Engineering @ SYSITS:-

          All the labs of SYSITS meet the requirement laid down by AICTE and University with regards to area and other technical requirements. As a civil engineering student needs extensive training in Surveying, Strength of material, Concrete lab, Environmental engineering lab, soil mechanics lab, transportation lab. Besides tiny testing of various public and private sector visit SYSITS for enormous and gigantic testing of material for various fabrications.

The department is known for its reputed faculty having expertise in diverse fields. The faculty of the department continues to strive loftier by exploring new frontiers of knowledge, imparting the latest technical skills to the students and conducting high quality of research. The faculty also renders technical advice on live engineering problems to various Government and Private sector companies throughout the country.
